2025 Renton Career Fair We are excited to invite local employers to participate in the upcoming Career Fair at Renton Technical College, an excellent opportunity to connect with motivated students and job seekers exploring careers in your industry. The fair will be held on campus over two days: Tuesday, May 14 (all industries except healthcare), and Wednesday, May 15 (healthcare-focused), from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM each day. Participating businesses will be provided with a table and two chairs. This is a great chance to showcase your organization, build your talent pipeline, and meet future employees. Introducing Paint with Purpose – A Community Mural Initiative: The City of Renton, in partnership with the Renton Municipal Arts Commission, is launching Paint with Purpose, a new mural program aimed at turning graffiti-impacted spaces into meaningful, community-driven art. This initiative pairs local artists with property owners to create murals that celebrate Renton’s identity and creativity, adding beauty and pride to key areas across the city.

Early Childhood Equity Grant: DCYF is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 Early Childhood Equity Grant, offering up to $100,000 to licensed child care providers and early learning programs that promote inclusive, culturally responsive practices. Comcast RISE: is investing over $3 million to support 100 small businesses in King County through comprehensive grant packages. Each package includes a $5,000 monetary grant, technology upgrades, creative production, media support, educational resources, and business consultation services. Eligible businesses can apply from May 1 to May 31, 2025, at with recipients announced in August.
Sound Jobs Initiative for Hospitality Employers: The Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County has launched Sound Jobs, a new initiative aimed at enhancing economic mobility and worker well-being in the hospitality sector. Backed by a $3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor, the program offers King County hospitality employers free services valued at over $20,000, including workplace well-being assessments, coaching, and training. Participating businesses commit to surveying employees, attending workshops, and collaborating with experts to improve workplace culture and retention.
