Upcoming Road Closures

There are no scheduled road closures currently. Crews and the project team will inform the community of upcoming road closures with as much notice as possible.

To maintain the Winter 2025 completion date, multiple crews have been assigned to keep the schedule from slipping further. This means multiple active work zones in a single day, which has an adverse effect on traffic and, ultimately, road closures with minimal notice.  

Sidewalk, curb, gutter, and driveway work continues

As part of this project, crews will continue completing sidewalk, curb, gutter, driveway, and street upgrades, including pouring and curing concrete. All concrete work is weather-dependent, and the schedule is subject to change if there is cold or wet weather in the forecast.

Access in and out of driveways will be maintained to the extent possible. If driveways need to be closed for upgrades, our team will notify individual properties in advance. We appreciate your patience as crews work toward completing this project.

We understand that the Rainier Ave S Phase 4 project has been impactful on the surrounding businesses, neighbors and traffic. Our crews are working to complete upgrades as efficiently and effectively as possible. We will continue shifting travel lanes around work zones to allow us to maintain the safety of the crews and the traveling public. 

Please follow all pedestrian and traffic controls as work progresses.

• Finalizing and cleaning up from storm and sewer work
• Curb, gutter, and sidewalk work
• Grading and paving driveways
• Drainage installation
• Placing lighting
• Installing signals
