Earlier this week, Mayor Armondo Pavone designated Saturday, March 15 as Renton's Holi Festival of Color. Accepting the proclamation was Vasudha Sharma, founder of the non-profit Voice of Planet and Mayor's Inclusion Task Force member.
Holi, often called the Festival of Colors, is a celebration that welcomes the spring season through vibrant and joyful celebrations with community.
When accepting the proclamation Vasudha concluded her acceptance with an uplifting message: “May this festival inspire all of us to embrace life's vibrancy and let the colors of joy wash over our spirits.”
What's Brewing with Ed continues on March 19
What’s Brewing with Ed returns Wednesday, March 19 at Berliner Pub. Join Chief Administrative Officer Ed VanValey and city leadership and staff for a conversation and drink. Residents are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and share their thoughts on projects and initiatives in Renton.
Events occur every first Wednesday from 10–11 a.m. at Luther’s Table, 419 S. Second St. and every third Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Berliner Pub, 221 Main Ave. S.
Renton City Concert Band presents Destinations this Sunday
The Renton City Concert Band (RCCB) led by director Dr. Naomi Fanshier can help your ears take flight with music from around the world.
This Renton Parks & Recreation event takes place Sunday, March 16 at 2 p.m. at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center, 400 S. Second St.
Tickets can be purchased at the Don Persson Renton Senior Activity Center, Renton Community Center, or at the door on the performance day. Tickets for adults are $13 and tickets for students and seniors are $10. Pre-purchasing tickets is strongly encouraged.
Review and comment on the Stormwater Management Program Plan
Help keep Renton’s waters clean and healthy!
The city’s Stormwater Management Program Plan meets the requirements of the Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit, issued by the Washington State Department of Ecology. The plan includes the requirements that the city must implement over a five-year (2024-2029) term.

Engage the community in stormwater education and outreach, public participation, and pollutant reporting.

Inspect public and private development sites and stormwater facilities.

Implement and enforce regulatory requirements including a source control program involving the inspection of commercial, institutional, and industrial properties with pollutant generating potential.
The Renton Employability Fair 2025
The City of Renton, Renton Chamber of Commerce, Renton School District, Invested In Neighborhoods, and Renton Technical College (RTC) are pleased to invite both job seekers and employers to participate in the Renton Employability Fair on Tuesday, March 25, from 4 – 8 p.m. at RTC.
