Beyond River Days: Upcoming Highlights
New Public Art Installation on Williams Avenue S
We’re excited to announce the unveiling of a refurbished mid-century era streetlight on Williams Avenue S. Originally installed in 1960 and donated by the Cugini Family, this streetlight has been revitalized by Western Neon with color-changing LEDs, blending historical charm with modern artistic flair. Join us for the dedication ceremony on August 1 at 11 a.m. to celebrate this wonderful addition to our city.
The Summer Concert Series continues with performances you won’t want to miss! On August 1, Dakota Poorman delivers a fresh twist on country music with his raw rock ‘n roll, fiery fiddle, and banjo. Then, on August 15, Danny Godinez and his all-star Seattle band bring a dynamic mix of Latin rock, blues, and funky jazz. Don’t miss these electrifying shows!
Are you curious about becoming an art docent and volunteering to teach art in Renton schools? Join us at the Renton Art Lounge in August for a hands-on Cyanotype printing session with the Director of the Cascade Elementary Art Docent program. Explore this exciting alternative photography technique, create stunning artworks, and learn more about how you can get involved in our schools' art programs. Don’t miss this opportunity—RSVP today and make a difference in local arts education!
