Renton’s Farmers Market opens its 22nd season downtown on Tuesday, June 6, at 3 p.m. in Piazza Park. The market is open every Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. through September 26.
In its booths, you’ll find the best in locally grown flowers, fruits, and vegetables; fresh baked goods; meats and cheeses; wines; ciders; and handmade crafts. In addition, the Kid’s Patch activity area returns, and there’s live music courtesy of the Renton Municipal Arts Commission, cooking demonstrations, and tips from WSU’s Master Gardeners each week. The Kid’s Passport program starts when the school year is over.
Eligible shoppers can use the SNAP/EBT Match program. SNAP/EBT shoppers’ purchases are matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $25 at each market. As a result, SNAP/EBT effectively doubles their buying power and provides additional revenue for Washington family farmers.
Logan Street, between Piazza Park and Market West, is closed to traffic during the market, creating a pedestrian-friendly environment. Park for free one block away in the City Center Parking Garage (655 South 2nd St.). Metro's Renton Transit Center is immediately north of the market, providing bus access via several dozen routes.
Find more Renton Farmers Market information on their website, Instagram, and Facebook accounts.
Downtown Civic Core Plan open house
While at the market, stop by the Renton Downtown Civic Core Vision and Action Plan open house at Renton Pavilion Event Center from 3 to 7 p.m. The plan leverages the downtown area's future, from activating public spaces and streets to increasing the attractiveness for new and expanded business activity.
You’ll find information on five active projects (Renton Connector, Arts & Culture Space, Downtown Streetscapes, Pavilion Market & Food Hall, Downtown Wayfinding, and Lake to Sound Trail) with opportunities for community members to engage with staff and interactively provide feedback at project stations. Attendees will enjoy refreshments and a scavenger hunt for an exciting prize.

- Fires must be in a clear spot free from vegetation for at least 10 feet in a horizontal direction, including at least 25 feet away from any structure, and allow 20-foot vertical clearance from overhanging branches.
- An alert individual shall always attend a recreational fire with equipment capable of extinguishing the fire readily available; this includes a shovel and a 5-gallon bucket of water or a connected and charged water hose.
- Campfires are to be entirely extinguished by pouring water or moist soil and stirring with a shovel until all parts are cool. The use of self-contained camp stoves is an alternative.
