Earth Day, Every Day
Every year, Earth Day is celebrated worldwide on April 22. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day events are now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network to build a healthy and sustainable environment, address climate change, and protect the Earth for future generations. Check out Earth Day Network's Billion Acts of Green for ideas on doing your part:
*Plant a tree or donate to plant a tree *Stop using disposable plastic *Eat less meat ("Meatless Monday") *Reduce Your Ecological Footprint *March for Science in Seattle
While Earth Day is a great opportunity for the Earth's citizens to mobilize, take action, and create change, let's remember that we can all do something every day, not just on Earth Day, to preserve and protect the Earth for future generations.
