COVID-19 Update: Schools Closed Thru March 27

To help contain the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), all Maryland public schools will be closed and all activities cancelled from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27.

No school beginning Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27 as part of efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Covid Glance Homework

Enrichment activity packets were sent home with students and/or will be available online on the PGCPS website by Wednesday, March 18 for grades Pre-K through 12.

Educators will be accessible to students by email to answer questions related to assignments.

Free lunches will be offered at these regional locations from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily during the closure.

Take preventive actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including handwashing, cleaning and social distancing.

Classes are set to resume for students on Monday, March 30. Find frequently asked questions on the forthcoming COVID-19 school closings here. We will provide updates during the closing and new information as it is available on our website, by email and text and on social media.

During school closures, PGCPS will offer “grab and go” lunches for students at regional locations between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday through Friday at select locations.

This week, families across Prince George's County started to receive invitations to complete the #2020Census — a once in a decade chance to help build your community. You can complete your Census questionnaire online now at My2020Census.gov. The mailed ID is not needed; all you need is your home address.
