Happy Holidays, PGCPS!

ceo

Dear Colleagues,

During the holiday season, we often reflect on the past year’s achievements and challenges as we look forward to the start of a new year.

Amid unprecedented enrollment growth, Team PGCPS has worked diligently to improve education outcomes, ensure equity, focus on customer service and help streamline processes. We have seen an outpouring of student support through donations to the Excellence in Education Foundation for PGCPS and participation in this year’s United Way campaign. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and makes a difference for so many.

Through your outreach efforts and encouragement, more parents and community members are volunteering in our schools, expanding opportunities for student learning and partnering to create and support programs and initiatives such as our new Adopt A School Program. We know partnerships are critical to our success – thanks to the relationships you have built within your school community, we have more partners than ever before.

We enter 2020 with a renewed dedication and commitment to the staff and students of Prince George’s County Public Schools. We continue to work towards our goal of making our school system a place where all students will graduate prepared for college and careers.

I could never thank you enough for the time and dedication that you give each day on behalf of our students. Please take some time to relax and enjoy the Winter Break with loved ones. From my family to yours, I wish you a safe and joyful holiday season!

Sincerely,

Monica
