Applications for 2020-21 middle school and high school specialty programs are now open! Get ready for our upcoming specialty program showcases by checking out our FAQs. The high school program showcase is Wednesday, Oct. 16 and elementary and middle school program showcase is Thursday, Oct. 17.

Coming Soon: Homework Assignments Survey


In response to community feedback, PGCPS has convened a committee to develop a new homework administrative procedure for implementation in the 2020-21 school year. To help guide the process, a survey will be available soon for parents and students to offer input. More information to come!

Maya Angelou French Immersion welcomed 26 middle school exchange students and three teachers this week from the International Middle School of Noisy Le Grand, just outside of Paris! 

Montpelier Elementary Students Create 'Bird Safe' Windows

District 3 Community Meeting on New Schools


Join County Council member Dannielle Glaros, Board of Education Member Joshua Thomas and the PGCPS Capital Programs team on Monday, Oct. 7 at William Wirt Middle School to learn more about new middle schools to be built in Riverdale and Glenridge. The meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Conference to Offer Resources for Immigrant, Refugee Families

In collaboration with Catholic Charities and the Interfaith Coalition for Educational Equity, PGCPS will host a conference, Trauma Informed Care for Refugee and Immigrant Populations: Addressing the Needs of Youth, Families and Communities on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Northwestern High School. 


Inaugural Alumni Hall of Fame Gala


Proceeds from tickets to our October 18 Hall of Fame Gala will help expand scholarships and programming for PGCPS students. 


CEO Community Listening Sessions


CEO Dr. Monica Goldson wants to hear from you! Share your ideas, concerns and solutions at sessions to be held on Oct. 17 at Oxon Hill High School, Oct. 21 at Laurel High School and Nov. 5 at Fairmont Heights High School.

Register for Pre-K at Select Schools


Families can register children for prekindergarten at select program sites with no income restrictions. Prekindergarten is open to children who turned four years old on or before Sunday, Sept. 1.
