Deck the Halls: Best Boards' Winners Announced

We recently challenged teachers and staff across the school system to show us their most innovative back-to-school bulletin boards!

best boards

The "CEO’s Choice" for #PGCPSBestBoards award goes to Frances Fuchs Early Childhood Center music teacher Katie Luettgen for “Learn.Blossom.Grow” (their school motto)! This board was selected for the time it took to individually craft flowers that our students with special needs can touch.

Also earning "CEO’s Choice" was Allenwood Elementary third grade teacher Ms. Johnson for her Words with Friends inspired welcome board!  This board incorporated each student’s name to make them feel important and show that they are all connected.

"People’s Choice" award goes to Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary School professional school counselor Shaquasia Marcelle for its artistic value and strong message that students can carry with them every day!

The three-dimensional “Explore the World!” board at Montpelier Elementary School received honorable mention for its creativity, interactive element and challenge to students to seek adventure.

Thank you to all who participated. We look forward to this challenge next year! View the many entries from our talented educators here!
