The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board is accepting public comment on proposed revisions to Focused Investment Partnerships (FIP) board-identified priorities.
A Focused Investment Partnership is an OWEB investment that:
- addresses a board-identified Focused Investment priority of significance to the state;
- achieves clear and measurable ecological outcomes;
- uses integrated, results-oriented approaches as identified through a strategic action plan; and
- is implemented by a high-performing partnership.
FIP program rules require board-identified FIP priorities to be approved at least every 5 years. The original set of priorities was adopted by the OWEB Board in 2015, and includes:
- Aquatic Habitat for Native Fish Species
- Coastal Estuaries in Oregon
- Coho Habitat and Populations along the Oregon Coast
- Dry-Type Forest Habitat
- Oak Woodland and Prairie Habitat
- Oregon Closed Lakes Basin Wetland Habitat
- Sagebrush/Sage-steppe Habitat
Submit public comment on the proposed FIP priority revisions via email to Andrew Dutterer by 5:00 pm on August 20, 2019.
Staff will catalog public comment and provide it and proposed revisions for the board's consideration at their October 2019 meeting. The board will approve FIP priorities at that time.
