Transit on Tap: How we're making the MAX Orange Line green!

Riders Club: What's New
Transit on Tap

Hi Rider,

Our next Transit on Tap event is less than two weeks away! Come have a drink with us on April 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Doug Fir Lounge.

Find out how the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Transit Project made sustainability a priority as the MAX Orange Line was designed, planned and constructed. Pilot initiatives and use of a LEED-like rating system for infrastructure projects turned these cutting edge efforts into new industry standards.

TriMet's Agency Architect, Bob Hastings, will lead a virtual trip along the MAX Orange Line as he highlights many of the sustainable elements of the project.

1000 Friends of Oregon Community Engagement Coordinator Sam Diaz will moderate the discussion.

Join the conversation at Doug Fir Lounge, a nationally-recognized music and event venue that has pioneered revitalization along this thriving section of East Burnside.

This Transit on Tap is generously sponsored by Hassalo on Eighth, Portland's newest neighborhood.

Transit on Tap is a series of fun and engaging presentations for transit riders. (Check us out on Facebook!) Talks are held in meeting rooms at local brewpubs, where you can sample what’s on tap while hearing from transit experts on a variety of topics.

All events are free and open to the public. (You're responsible for your own food and beverages, though.) See you there!
