Hello Rider,
There was a time when street cars in Portland relied on actual horse
power. Soon cable cars replaced the horse-drawn method before the
automobile took over the roads and streetcars lost their appeal.
Our featured speaker, Steve Dotterrer, will take us on a journey through the last century of transit in our
area and show us that what’s old is new again. Along with Steve’s talk,
special guest Phil Selinger will display an impressive scroll for the
first time to the public, featuring a timeline of historic events in
Portland’s transit history.
Join us on Presidents’ Day (full TriMet service will be running) in the historic Ford building, where Line 4 meets Line 70— we’ll start the night with fun presidential trivia and give away a few TriMet prizes.

Transit
on Tap is a series of fun and engaging presentations for transit
riders. Talks are held in meeting rooms at local brewpubs, where you can
sample what’s on tap while hearing from transit experts on a variety of
topics.
All events are free and open to the public. (You're responsible for your own food and beverages, though.) See you there!
