🚊 One In, One Out 🚊

MAX Type 1 and Type 6 train illustration

We recently welcomed another Type 6 train home while saying “thank you and farewell” to an older Type 1 vehicle! 😍

While the Type 1s are gradually being retired to make room for the Type 6s, they’re not going away forever. We’re sending one to the Oregon Electric Railway Museum in Brooks, Oregon, just north of Salem.

🌉 Tilikum Crossing Gets a Closer Look 🌉

Platform under Tilikum Crossing

We recently completed our biennial inspection of Tilikum Crossing!

A crew from French engineering firm Freysinnet inspected the bridge's cables, while ODOT also conducted their own inspection.

To perform the work, crews used boom lifts and mobile elevated work platforms to look around the bridge. Watch the video.

🧑‍💻  Microtransit Pilot Project Survey 🧑‍💻

Microtransit vehicle

The Microtransit Pilot Project will expand public transportation options in Southwest Beaverton and River Terrace.

What is Microtransit?

Microtransit fills gaps in larger public transit systems in areas where no other service is available, opening up the transit network for riders. In places where existing transit is just out of reach, microtransit can provide the first or last mile(s) of service that covers the distance between the transit stop and your initial or final destination.

In addition, microtransit can demonstrate the need for transit in a community which may eventually justify standard bus service.

Your feedback is important!

The results of this survey will be used to develop a safe, accessible and reliable microtransit service.
