๐Ÿšฆ MAX Close Calls๐Ÿšฆ

AKA that time an Altima almost swerved into a MAX train...the ultimate Halloween scare ๐ŸŽƒ

MAX Close Calls text with an "OMG" emoji and a car swerving in the train's lane

These close calls were easily avoidable by following traffic signals and looking both ways before crossing train tracks.

Watching this playlist will send chills down your spine.

โšช๏ธ Traffic Buttons โšช๏ธ

Something that may help avoid spooky close calls with MAX trains are our new traffic buttons.

They help keep cars and MAX trains separated on our downtown at-grade trackway.ย

๐ŸŒฒ 4T Trail

Remember that you can go on an adventure and hike the 4T trail. When there's fog, it has major Halloween vibes!

Map of the 4T trail

๐Ÿš‰ Train: Start your journey at Pioneer Courthouse Square. Take a Westbound Blue or Red Line MAX train to Washington Park.

๐Ÿฅพ Trail: Upon arriving at the Washington Park station, use the elevator to reach the street level. Walk toward the Oregon Zoo, where you will begin to see signs for the 4 T Trail along the sidewalks. Cross the Highway 26 overpass and hike uphill on the Marquam Trail to Council Crest Park. From Council Crest, continue following the 4 T Trail signs downhill to Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU).

โš ๏ธ Note: The hike from Marquam Trail to Council Crest Park is moderately steep. The entire hike from the Oregon Zoo to OHSU is approximately 4 miles.

๐Ÿšก Tram: Board the Portland Aerial Tram at the OHSU campus. The trip costs $8.50. The tram takes riders downhill through the south waterfront district to the OHSU Center for Health and Healing. The tram is open Monday through Saturday.
