TriMet’s "Better Red" extension project opens on August 28, and it’s time to celebrate!
Stop by Beaverton Transit Center, Beaverton Central and Orenco MAX Stations to pick up some of the special edition giveaways, including luggage tags, small travel flight bags, Type 6 squishy trains, sunglasses and sweet treats. The giveaways begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, while supplies last.
The "Better Red" extension = more service
✅ Extends MAX Red Line west to serve 10 more stations between Beaverton and Hillsboro
✅ Direct service between Portland International Airport and Hillsboro – no need to transfer
✅ Increases frequency for westside MAX riders
✅ Improves reliability for the entire MAX system, keeping trains and riders moving
