Get ready: TriMet FX™ service starts in September!

🗓️ FX 2-Division service starts September 18, 2022! 🗓️

With Division Transit Project construction wrapping up, we’re on track to launch TriMet’s new FX™ bus service this fall. FX will bring faster, easier and more convenient trips on Division Street between Downtown Portland and Gresham.

FX will use longer "bendy" buses. Riders will be able to board through any of the three doors, and buses will arrive every 12 minutes or less.

Did you know that these longer buses are just as maneuverable as our standard 40-foot buses? It’s true – and we have the drone video to prove it.

Heads up: We’re going to start bus operator training on the new articulated buses on Tuesday, April 5. You may see the longer TriMet FX buses on Division Street between Downtown Portland and Gresham, but they won’t be picking up riders just yet. Thanks for your patience as our operators learn how to operate the new buses.
