Construction on A Better Red is picking up speed!
At the Fair Complex/Hillsboro Airport MAX Station, crews are performing underground utility work along the trackway west of the station. Starting November 10 and continuing for about three months, some of this work will take place at night, when fewer trains are running.
At Gateway, crews are starting work on piers for the new light rail bridge over I-84 east of I-205. This includes intermittent nighttime lane closures and construction activity along I-84 through next spring, plus periodic day and night closures of Exit 7 (Halsey St/99th Ave) from eastbound I-84. The first closure is scheduled for November 7-24.
