TriMet is facing a $17 million shortfall in the next budget year because of lower-than-expected revenue from payroll taxes, anticipated cuts in federal funding, and unsustainable health care costs for union employees. |
 |
| An initial proposal of the budget choices will be presented to the TriMet Board on February 8 and the will be available to the public February 9. |
 |
We want to hear from you Tough budget choices are ahead, and we want to know what’s most important to you when it comes to service on the street and the price you pay to ride. We will bring the proposal to you with a series of four open house meetings for the public to attend in February. |
