Hop Fastpass arrives next year, so we wanted to get you up to speed on how it will work:
You'll be able to pay your way toward a 1-Month Pass, one day at a time. You don't have to pay for a pass in advance, and you'll never pay for a ride you don't take.
There will be a $3 card fee and $5 minimum load. Register online or by phone, then enjoy benefits like pay-as-you-go passes and lost-card protection. Add value online, using the Hop app, over the phone or in person at any of 500 local retailers.
To kick things off, we'll give out thousands of free cards to riders, social service agencies and schools. And don't worry — fares aren't going up.
