311 is starting the new calendar year on track to see higher contact rates than previous years.
Winter weather contributes to an increase in requests for reunification assistance and to connect with a City Street Outreach worker - 629 contact in January. PBOT’s expanded Leaf Day service, as well as an easy feedback portal on Portland.gov, lead to twice as many contacts on the service from last year – nearly 1,000 over the fall/winter season.
311 collaborated with the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability's Noise Program, the Bureau of Technology Service's Digital Services team, and the Portland Clean Energy Fund Program to adapt resources and begin taking reports about the Gas Leaf Blower ban on January 1.
