This week Councilor Morillo secured a major step forward for renters — Her ordinance banning algorithmic rent price fixing passed out of the Homelessness and Housing Committee! Now it’s moving to the full City Council for a first hearing on the morning of Wednesday, April 2nd.
We need your support to get this across the finish line!
Here’s how you can take action:
✅ Sign up for public testimony (2-minute speaking slots) MOST IMPORTANT
✅ Submit written testimony in favor of the ordinance (strongly encouraged due to time constraints)
✅ Show up in person at Portland City Hall on April 2nd 11:00am-12:30pm to demonstrate strong public support. Wear blue! Bring signs that say, “Stop Algorithmic Price Fixing!”
