The City Budget Office, in partnership with the District Coalition Offices, hosted both online and in-person Town Hall Meetings in January 2025. These sessions featured a Civics 101 presentation, providing an overview of Portland’s new form of government and ways for residents to connect with the city. Jonas Biery, Chief Financial Officer, and Ruth Levine, Budget Office Director, also led discussions on Portland’s budget process, the City's financial situation, and explaining how the public can participate in the budget process.
PDX311 staff attended every district meeting, distributing promotional materials such as flyers, resource guides, magnets, and fanny packs. They also took part in the Q&A session, offering insights on how 311 can assist the community.
