City Council gives green light to Portland Permitting & Development, officially creating new bureau
The City's new permitting bureau will officially launch July 1, with changes taking shape over the next 18 months.

To enhance service efficiency and expand its use, ProjectDox, the digital document management system used for reviewing development permits, will undergo a planned outage from Thursday, July 18, at 5 p.m. to Sunday, July 21, at 11:59 p.m.

The City of Portland welcomes Sarah Vaz and Thomas Eldridge to provide leadership on urban design and architecture in the city’s design overlay zones where design and neighborhood character are of special concern.

Effective May 15, construction activities may begin at 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday without a noise variance when the temperature is expected to exceed 85 degrees Fahrenheit by 3 p.m.

Do you have professional architecture, construction, or trades skills and want to give back to community? We seek volunteers to assist homeowners and small businesses from the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) and disability communities to bring their properties up to code.

River Community Advisory Committee: Seeking a resident of a floating structure or someone who provides construction or remodeling services to floating homes or houseboats to serve a three-year term. Applications are accepted through Sunday, July 21.
