Actions are founded on individual decisions and individual decisions are ideally based on knowledge. Addressing systemic racism begins with self-education. To that end, the below linked workshops are potentially valuable tools to committee members and others seeking to understand and ultimately create racial equity in planning and outcomes:

“Identifying and Addressing Barriers to Physical Activity in the Black Community”
“Festival Talk: Bicycle Advocacy in the Wake of the Global Racial justice Reckoning and Quarantine”
“TREC Seminar: Biking While Black – How Planning Contributes to Unjust Policing”
“Defining, Contextualizing and Understanding Transportation Equity”
“Bike Lanes, Gentrification and Anti-Blackness”
