Repair Fair Success
We had another fabulous Repair Fair! We saw numerous interesting things come through the doors: lots of tools to sharpen, a formal dress to mend, jewelry repair galore, and even a remote-controlled excavating truck was saved from the rubbish bin. The dark, damp weather inspired folks to bring their broken lights, and thanks to our awesome volunteers, homes are now brighter! We saw a total of 89 items getting processed and fixperts were able to repair 65 items. Many thanks to our volunteers who keep attending and fixing items for the community. Their willingness to share their knowledge and expertise is such a gift.
We also asked guests to take a poll at the end of the experience. Here are the results:
94% of the people attending said they would be more likely to seek repair services after visiting the repair fair.
88% said they would be willing to try to repair something themselves after visiting the repair fair.
