This 2026 short session took place from February 2nd till March 6th, with only 5 weeks to pass legislation the team and I were able to pass and support legislation that would help the great people of district 22. We heard the constitutes and what they needed we worked alongside other representatives and even across the senate to bring you big wins!
Esta breve sesión de 2026 tomo lugar desde el 2 de febrero hasta el 6 de marzo, y con solo 5 semanas para aprobar legislación, el equipo y yo pudimos aprobar y apoyar leyes que ayudarían a la gran gente del distrito 22. Escuchamos a los ciudadanos y lo que necesitaban, trabajamos junto a otros representantes e incluso a través del senado para traerles grandes logros.
House Bill (HB) 4114 The Protect Your Door Act / Ley Pretege tu Puerta
As chief sponsor of his bill, it sets boundaries for federal law enforcement agents and out-of-state police that are operating inside of Oregon. In simple terms it ensures an advance notice to the Oregon Department of Justice, clear identification of who is conducting operations here in the state, allows protection while going to specific/sensitive locations such as churches, schools, and health facilities without authorization such as a warrant and most important of all gives power to the people of the right to sue for the damages done. This bill ensures state sovereignty and stops federal overreach and promotes the private property rights while ensuring safety for all Oregonians.
Como principal patrocinador de su proyecto de ley, establece límites para los agentes federales de la ley y la policía de otros estados que operan dentro de Oregón. En términos simples, garantiza un aviso previo al Departamento de Justicia de Oregón, identificación clara de quién está llevando a cabo operaciones en el estado, permite protección al acudir a lugares específicos/sensibles como iglesias, escuelas y centros de salud sin autorización como una orden judicial y, lo más importante de todo, otorga a las personas el derecho de demandar por los daños ocasionados. House Bill (HB) 4035 Woodburn Housing Bill (personal nickname) Proyecto de Vivienda de Woodburn (apodo personal)
As a big supporter to this bill, it supports small towns, cities, and metro to "amend their urban growth boundaries under a temporary program". In more simple terms this ensures that small towns who need to grow to build future housing to temporarily cancel the boundaries of a town to create more housing in the case for the city of Woodburn. This not only can help increase housing but also lower the cost of living and bring more tax money to the city to fund essential services such as police, firefighters and roads without raising tax rates on our current residents while at the same time creating more local jobs.

Not only volunteering for campaigns but also volunteering in the community like food banks and local thrift stores.
- Attending public meetings of local governments
Attending your local school district or city hall meetings is quite important and can find out how your government works. Sometimes they have their meetings on Facebook live!
- Testifying for legislation
Last but not least testifying for something you or others believe in is always appreciated to pass or not pass legislation that is happening everywhere.
