 Santa's coming to town!
The holidays are coming back! We have choirs scheduled Monday-Saturday starting Dec. 2 with the Tree Lighting Ceremony, and ending on Dec. 24.
This means we'll need your help decorating and facilitating the event.
Shifts are available 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 17, 18, 19, 21, 25 and 26 for decorating. You can choose a 10 a.m. to noon shift, the noon to 2 p.m. shift or the entire time.
On December 2, shifts for Santa handler, cookie distributor, program dispenser and Capitol Store helpers run from 3-7 (in 2 or 3 hour increments). Please let me know if you'd like to participate!
VOLUNTEER SHIFT HELP!
If you could help make baskets, or wrap gifts, to get the store ready anytime between the 4th and the 12th of this month, please let Janice know by emailing capitol.store@oregonlegislature.gov or call her at 503-986-1391. You do not need to be a store volunteer to help with this activity.
We also need a store volunteer on the 14th and the 21st for the 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. shifts. If you are available, let Janice know!
Reminder that the parking spots currently allocated to Volunteers are #6, 7, and 14 on State St.
These are our only available spots until November 17.
On November 17, we'll be returning to our "normal" spots, #8, 9, 10, and 11 for the foreseeable future.
If you do not have a parking spot when you arrive for your shift, park in the loading zone or an unoccupied construction spot (with the 'reserved' signs) and let us know. We'll find a solution.
Thank you to all who attended our Appreciation Event in October! It was wonderful to see everyone together and enjoy the (slightly under construction) space. Cheers to a wonderful year!
