Do you have questions about the vaccine mandate and how it affects you? You will find many of your answers by clicking on this link. OHA provides information regarding who is required to get the vaccine, forms to apply for medical or religious EXCEPTIONS, employer enforcement requirements, etc.

Mask Mandate Information:

I'm sure most of you are aware that Governor Brown expanded the mask mandate to outdoor settings, effective August 27th. You can find further details regarding mask guidelines by clicking here

Important Unemployment Information:

Federal unemployment benefits through ARPA will be ending this week, Sept. 4th, and include the following programs: Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC), and Mixed Earners Unemployment Compensation (MEUC).

Additionally, the waiting week period will return on Sept. 5th.

My office has been receiving many questions regarding unemployment benefits pertaining to the vaccine mandate. Are you eligible to receive benefits should your employer fire you for refusing the vaccine? Maybe and maybe not. OED will review every case to see if an individual is eligible (which most likely will go through the long process of adjudication). Read more here to see what the Director of OED has to say.

Friends,

Thank you for taking the time to keep yourself informed about current events in Oregon. I know many of you are concerned with the recent mandates imposed by Governor Brown, and I don't blame you...I too feel defeated by the continued moving of the goal post by this administration. Please know, I doing everything I can to make sure your voice is heard and that your rights are not being violated.

More importantly, I want to acknowledge the 13 Marines that were killed in the Kabul airport last week. I am forever grateful for our military and the sacrifices they make to protect our freedoms. Please take a moment to pray for their families.

I know these are tough times in our nation and our state. Stay strong. Keep the faith. We will get through this together.

As always, please contact my office with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
