Invocation

My deepest sympathies go out to Senator Manning as he recently lost his wife, Lawanda Manning. Lawanda was loved by so many in the Capitol. It is times like these, we are reminded just how precious life is outside these walls. Please see my invocation below. Should you be willing and able, please consider donating in Lawanda's name to Food for Lane County.

HB 3407

This week, the House Republicans voted in favor of banning vaccine passports in Oregon. Unfortunately, the motion to pull HB 3407 to the House Floor failed on a party line vote. You can read more here

I am concerned with the failure of HB 3407 as Oregon has not yet reached the 70% vaccination goal mandated by Governor Brown in order to fully open up. Once again, I am fearful the bar will continue to be moved and Oregon will remain closed. It is a sad day to see Oregon take the lead as the MOST restrictive state on the West Coast.

Just in case you missed it, last week, HB 2648 passed! Oregonians will soon be able to skip the prescription process to purchase sudafed!
