Yesterday, Governor Brown once again moved the goal posts...Oregon will "more fully" reopen if 70% of Oregonians 16 and over receive their first dose of vaccine.
Due to the massive amounts of concerns regarding the OSHA rules that I and the above legislators have received from Oregonians all over, we teamed up together to attempt to bring accountability to this state agency.
Here is OSHA's response.
Last week, the House Committee on Business and Labor held an informational meeting with Legislative Counsel testifying on behalf of OSHA...needless to say, I was extremely disappointed in this process.
Here's what I have to say about that.

Rep. Breese-Iverson (R-Prinville) submitted HB 3399, which is really very simple...it requires public schools to provide in-person learning for the upcoming school year.
Of course, I gladly jumped on as a co-sponsor of this bill. On a daily basis, I receive countless amounts of correspondence pleading for schools and sports to reopen.

Last week, the House Republicans requested a bill pull(s)...meaning we asked for HB 3177 and HB 2243 to be withdrawn from the residing committee and be voted on by the House Floor. The motions failed. Both bills would protect your rights. HB 3177 limits the restrictions Governor's can impose on restaurants, gyms, and other indoor recreational facilities. HB 2243 would require the Governor to convene the legislature before extending emergency powers.
As always, thank you for your continued support. Please contact my office with any questions or concerns you may have.
Sincerely,
Bill Post State Representative - HD 25
