FROM THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Dear Constituents of House District 25,
As you well know, I am not a fan of passing bills, just to pass bills. This "short session", I had 2 bills proposed and after today's final day, both bills successfully passed the Oregon Legislature and now after 4 sessions, 2 long and 2 short, I've passed 3 bills with only ONE "NO" vote combined! I think my new nickname is "Bi-Partisan Bill" Post.
HB 4068 is a simple "fix" bill for our great seed farmers in Oregon. I am so thrilled that the farmers of Oregon entrusted this bill to me.
HB 4078 did not pass as it was but instead, was added as an amendment into HB 4028 and it was requested again by rural folks including Willamette Valley Vineyards and will help rural folks to build more to encourage more business!
All in all, this "short session" was a successful one for me and for Oregon.
