Budget Challenges Ahead--Your Help is Needed!

Carla Piluso

A few weeks ago, I sent an email about the Ways & Means budget town halls that are happening across the state. In every corner, Oregonians have come forward and shared their input about how we can balance Oregon’s budget.

As you know, there’s a lot on the table--including possible cuts to everything from health care, housing, education, transportation and public safety. These town halls have been successful and well attended. You can read about the Joint Ways and Means Committee Meeting in Southern Oregon to get a better idea of what other Oregonians are saying.

In order to make these conversations more accessible to East County and Gresham residents, we brought the town hall closer to home. Please join me, along with Representatives Janelle Bynum, Diego Hernandez, Alissa Keny-Guyer, and Diego Hernandez at this event. We will be there to listen and look forward to learning about your concerns and ideas for solutions to our budget challenges. Please note:

We’ll be meeting at the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) this Saturday at 12:00 PM. The address is 10301 NE Glisan St, Portland OR 97220.

You can submit written testimony or sign up to testify by responding to this email or emailing me at rep.carlapiluso@oregonlegislature.gov. Looking forward to seeing you there!
