The Ways and Means Committee is scheduled to hold a public hearing in Ashland on Friday, February 24.
That committee, of which I am a member, is responsible for crafting and developing the state's budget for the upcoming 2017-19 biennium that begins on July 1.
This is an opportunity to tell committee members about which state government programs you would like to see prioritized for funding.
The hearing will take place in the Rogue River Room of the Stevenson Union on the campus of Southern Oregon University, located at 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., from 5 to 7 p.m. I strongly urge you to attend, participate and provide your input on the budget you would like to see us pass into law.
