Constituent Coffee
Please join me for my first Constituent Coffee of 2016 at Manaia Coffee House and Island Grill, located at 203 E Main St. in Hillsboro. I will be at Manaia to take your questions, discuss issues impacting our community, and talk about the upcoming Legislative Session from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23rd. I hope to see you there!
2016 Priority Bills
During even-numbered years the Legislative Session is constitutionally limited to 35 days. During these "short sessions" each legislator is limited to introducing 2 bills.
The first bill I am planning to introduce closes a few loopholes in existing law to protect everyday Oregonians from predatory towing practices. My second bill establishes "Children's Special Districts," which would allow communities to form a new type of special district to fund activities for children outside of school time.

Small Business Advisory Council
There are a couple of openings on my Small Business Advisory Council to replace members who are transitioning out. If you are a small business owner in Senate District 15 (Hillsboro, Cornelius, Forest Grove, and North Plains), and you are interested in discussing issues that impact your business, please contact my office. I will conduct a review of interested candidates and contact applicants by March, 2016.
