ODOT Trucking Advisory: ramp closures and restrictions on I-5 south of Eugene

EUGENE: Due to a series of paving and repair projects there will be several restrictions and short term ramp closures along Interstate 5 south of Eugene.

I-5 northbound and southbound Exit 188 on and off ramps to Oregon 58
Effective Aug. 4, the I-5 Exit 188 on and off ramps will be intermittently closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Estimated date of completion is Sept. 30.

• When the ramp from I-5 southbound Exit 188 to Eastbound Oregon 58 is closed, traffic should continue on I-5 southbound to Exit 182, cross over the freeway and return to I-5 northbound, take Exit 188A to Oregon 58.
• When the ramp from I-5 northbound Exit 188A to eastbound Oregon 58 is closed, traffic should continue on I-5 northbound to Exit 189, cross over the freeway and return to I-5 southbound, take Exit 188 to Oregon 58.
• When the ramp from westbound Oregon 58 to I-5 southbound is closed, traffic should use I-5 northbound Exit 189, cross over the freeway and return to I-5 southbound.
• When the ramp from westbound Oregon 58 to I-5 northbound is closed, traffic should use I-5 southbound Exit 182, cross over the freeway and return to I-5 northbound.

 

Size restrictions: I-5 milepost 162 to 192 MP
This section of I-5 is restricted to loads no wider than 16 feet from one half hour before sunrise until one half hour after sunset (DAYTIME) and to loads no wider than 12 feet from one half hour after sunset until one half hour before sunrise (NIGHTTIME). In addition, this section of I-5 southbound is restricted to loads no higher than 16 feet 3 inches at all hours. Contact ODOT Motor Carrier Over Dimension Permits for information on specific height requirements for I-5 northbound. Estimated date of completion is Sept. 30.

 

On-ramp from London Road/South 6th Street to I-5 northbound
The I-5 northbound on-ramp from London Rd/S 6th St will be intermittently closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. When closed, traffic should use Oregon 99 northbound to Row River Road and enter I-5 at Exit 174. Estimated date of completion is Aug. 21.

 

I-5 southbound Exit 172 off ramp to London Road/South 6th Street
The I-5 Exit 172 off ramp will be intermittently closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. When closed, traffic should use Exit 174 to Row River Road to Oregon 99 southbound. Estimated date of completion is Aug. 21. 

I-5 northbound and southbound Exit 174 on and off ramps (Row River Road)
The I-5 Exit 174 on and off ramps will be intermittently closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. When closed, traffic should use Exit 176 to Saginaw Road to Oregon 99 southbound to Row River Road. Estimated date of completion is Aug. 21.

 

I-5 northbound and southbound Exit 189 on and off ramps (McVay Hwy/30th Ave)
The I-5 Exit 189 on and off ramps will be intermittently closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. When closed, traffic should use Exit 191 to Glenwood Blvd to Franklin Blvd (Oregon 126 Business and McVay Hwy) southbound. Estimated date of completion is Aug. 21.

The I-5 Exit 191 on and off ramps will be intermittently closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. When closed, traffic should use Exit 189 to McVay Highway/30th Ave to Franklin Blvd. Estimated date of completion is Aug. 21.
