Walking tour and open house planned in Depoe Bay
DEPOE BAY— The public is invited to participate in a Public Walking Workshop and a Public Open House in Depoe Bay on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 as ODOT, the City of Depoe Bay, and a contractor, DKS Associates, continue work on a Transportation System Plan for the city.
A Transportation System Plan (TSP) provides a long term guide for city transportation investments. The plan identifies possible improvements through 2035 to the city’s transportation system, balancing the needs of pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, freight haulers, and transit users. A TSP is required by the State of Oregon, to help integrate the plans into the statewide transportation system.
Public Walking Workshop #2
Beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, the project team will conduct a walking tour to discuss recommended projects for the community. The group will meet at the south end of Depoe Bay Bridge.
Public Open House #2
Beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, the project team will present recommended transportation improvements for the next 20 years. The public will be asked to provide input on which projects are a community priority. The Open House will take place at the Depoe Bay Community Hall at 220 SE Bay Street in Depoe Bay.
