RVACT to hear ConnectOregon update
MEDFORD — Various updates are on the agenda for the next Rogue Valley Area Commission on Transportation meeting set for Tuesday, January 14 at the ODOT offices, 100 Antelope Road in White City. The RVACT meeting is open to the public. Time is set aside for public input
RVACT representatives, along with those from the Southwest ACT, will make up a regional screening committee that will prioritize candidate ConnectOregon projects. In July, the Oregon Legislature approved $42 million in funding for a fifth installment of the multimodal ConnectOregon program. In addition to the rail, port/marine, aviation and transit projects the program traditionally funds, the Legislature made bicycle and pedestrian projects eligible to compete for ConnectOregon funding.
A list of the candidate projects can be found at: http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/TD/TP/CO/CO_V_Apps_by_Region-Mode.pdf
The January agenda also includes:
Selection of the Josephine County RVACT Chair
RVACT/MPO project coordination update; and
Oregon Transportation Commission and Rogue Valley construction project updates.
ODOT attempts to hold all public meetings in accessible buildings. Accommodations will be provided to persons with disabilities, and alternate formats of printed material are available upon request. Please call Gary Leaming at 541-774-6388 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting (or statewide relay 7-1-1).
