KERR Contractors is building a modernization project at the Biggs Junction Interchange. The project will significantly widen US 97 and all of the interchange ramps. The project also includes new retaining walls, bridges and signals. The work will take place in stages to minimize any traffic delays. The first stage will take place this summer, and it will include constructing the West half of the new US 97 bridges over I-84 and UPRR. The project will be completed in the summer of 2015.

During the week of Nov. 17th to Nov. 23rd the contractor will continue to construct temporary shoring along US 97. Embankment and MSE wall construction is taking place along the WB-off/EB-on ramps. Traffic on I-84 is reduced to one lane in both the eastbound and westbound directions. Speeds on I-84 through the work zone have been reduced to 50 MPH. There will be occasional flagging on the off- ramps and US 97 at night and in the mornings. During flagging delays will be less than 20 minutes.
