UPDATE: Baseline Street in Cornelius closed nights starting Oct. 27 for utility work

 

CORNELIUS -- Baseline Street, OR 8, between 12^th Avenue and 17^th Avenue in Cornelius will be closed for seven nights in late October and early November.

 

The closures will take place Sunday through Thursday nights, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting Sunday Oct. 27 with all work completed by the morning of Wednesday Nov. 6.

 

The closures are necessary to allow crews to replace the storm line, water line, and sanitary sewer lines at the intersection of Baseline Street and 14th Avenue.

 

When eastbound Baseline Street is closed between 12th Avenue and 17th Avenue, traffic will be directed to 12th Avenue northbound, to Adair Street eastbound, to 17th Avenue southbound and back to Baseline Street eastbound.

 

During the closures, Adair Street between 12th Street and 17th Street will become open to two-way traffic. The detour is approved for oversize loads.

  

Motor Carriers need to provide this information to their drivers, by copy of this letter or other means, to assure their awareness of the restriction.
