SHERMAN COUNTY

I-84 @ US97 INTERCHANGE – BIGGS JUNCTION

Highway 2 and 42 - MP 104.5 and MP 0 to 2

KERR Contractors is building a modernization project at the Biggs Junction Interchange. The project will significantly widen US97 and all of the interchange ramps. The project also includes new retaining walls, bridges and signals. The work will take place in stages to minimize any traffic delays. The first stage will take place this summer, and it will include constructing the West half of the new US97 bridges over I84 and UPRR. The project will be completed in the summer of 2015.

During the week of August 25th to August 31st the contractor will be building construction accesses, building shoring, and excavating along US97 South of the intersection. Expect construction activity on shoulders throughout the project site. Traffic on I84 will be reduced to one lane in both EB and WB direction. Expect construction traffic on US97. Delays should be minimal, but be cautious of slowing traffic on I84 due to heavy volumes on and around the Labor Day weekend.
