ODOT Trucking Advisory: date changes for Portland area ramp closures and restrictions

Oregon Department of Transportation sent this bulletin at 05/27/2011 12:50 PM PDT

PORTLAND: ODOT Maintenance crews are removing, repairing and replacing signs on Interstate 84 and Interstate 5 in the Portland area. This work will necessitate some evening and weekend restrictions and closures. Dates have changed for a few of the closures.

Ramp closures

I-5 SB to I-84 EB

From 10 p.m. Friday night June 3, until 9 a.m. Saturday morning June 4.
From 10 p.m. Saturday night June 4, until 9 a.m. Sunday morning June 5.

Detour Route: When the ramp from I-5 SB to I-84 EB is closed, the detour will be to continue south on I-5 to the Hood Street off-ramp to Macadam Avenue and back to I-5 NB to I-84 EB.

I-84 WB to I-5 SB

From 10 p.m. Friday night June 17, until 7 a.m. Saturday morning June 18.
From 10 p.m. Saturday night June 18, until 7 a.m. Sunday morning June 19.
From 10 p.m. Sunday night June 19, until 5 a.m. Monday morning June 20.

Detour Route: When the ramp from I-84 WB to I-5 SB is closed, the detour will be to take I-84 WB to I-5 NB to I-405 SB back to I-5 SB.

16th Ave. on-ramp to I-84 EB

From 10 p.m. Friday night June 3, until 9 a.m. Saturday morning June 4.
From 10 p.m. Saturday night June 4, until 9 a.m. Sunday morning June 5.

I-84 EB Exit 2 to 39th Ave

From 10 p.m. Saturday night June 4, until 9 a.m. Sunday morning June 5.

I-84 Width Restrictions

Interstate 84 eastbound from milepost 0 to milepost 2.5 will be restricted to loads no wider than 12 feet on the following dates and times:

From 10 p.m. Friday night June 3, until 9 a.m. Sunday morning June 4.
From 10 p.m. Saturday night June 4, until 9 a.m. Sunday morning June 5.
