ODOT selects manager for Linn, Benton, Lincoln and Polk counties
CORVALLIS—A Linn County native with nearly 16 years of transportation experience has been selected as the new ODOT Area 4 Manager, based in Corvallis.
Amy Ramsdell will fill the position previously held by Vivian Payne, who was promoted to ODOT Region Maintenance and Operations Manager.
Ramsdell was born and raised in Lebanon, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics at Willamette University in Salem.
Ramsdell joined ODOT in 1997, and has held several positions in ODOT’s Motor Carrier Transportation Division. Most recently, she was a Project Leader in the Area 4 office in Corvallis. She has been interim Area Manager since May, 2012.
“I feel very fortunate that I have the rare opportunity to put my experience to work in my hometown area,” said Ramsdell. “I have a good understanding of the local transportation issues and a good working relationship with the local leaders. I’m eager to move forward,” she said.
As Area 4 Manager, Ramsdell will work closely with local government agencies, Metropolitan Policy Organizations, and Area Commissions on Transportation in planning, development, and delivery of transportation projects.
ODOT’s Area 4 encompasses Linn, Benton, Lincoln and part of Polk counties.
