Using Data to Effectively Tell Your Community's Story, USDOT

August 15; 12:00 pm (PDT): online webinar

DOT is hosting a two-part webinar series to help communities use data to effectively tell their story in applying for potential DOT grants.  Part 1 of the webinar series focused on how to identify and describe a project and its goals, identify users of the infrastructure or system, and determine the project’s impact area.

Part 2 of the webinar series (August 15) will introduce participants to DOT’s Equitable Transportation Community (ETC) Explorer tool and provide detailed information on how to use the tool to map a project area, identify how a community is experiencing disadvantage, and evaluate project benefits to a community. This information will build on the content presented during Part 1 of the webinar series. Participants are encouraged to review the Part 1 materials before attending Part 2. Register online

Roadway Safety for People Experiencing Homelessness, FHWA

September 4; 10:00 am: online webinar

This FHWA webinar series is designed to share equitable strategies and tools that can be integrated into transportation programs and projects to close disparities in roadway fatalities on the way to our shared goal of zero deaths. In these sessions, State, regional, and local transportation professionals share innovative examples to inspire transportation professionals to equitably implementation transportation improvements. In 2024, the series will focus on equitable design strategies, dive deeper into equitable data analysis, and roadway safety for people experiencing homelessness. Contract Administration Training Certificate, DAS Procurement

Did you know project staff working on consultant selection procurements for federal-aid projects are required to complete the DAS Contract Administration Training Certificate? If you haven’t taken this course, or haven’t taken it recently, we recommend taking this course in Workday Learning. The DAS Contract Administration Training Certificate consists of 11 self-paced modules and provides basic procurement training necessary for administering public contracts. Questions? AASHTOWare and OregonBuys

When ODOT Office of Equity & Civil Rights implements the new AASHTOWare system for collecting civil rights data, all prime contractors and subcontractors will be required to have an account in OregonBuys. Registering in OregonBuys assigns a unique identifier to each contractor to ensure data can be tracked across all ODOT and local agency projects.
