CUG Consultant Contracting Series: Overview, ODOT
November 22; 9:00 am - 11:30 am: virtual MS Teams
This training is next week—register now! The training will provide an overview targeted primarily at newer staff or staff who need a refresher on consultant selection and contract administration on federal-aid projects.
CUG Consultant Contracting Series: How to Use the Certified LPA Statement of Work Library, ODOT
December 15; 11:00 am - 12:00 pm: virtual MS Teams
The first one-hour training of the 3rd Thursday sessions on Consultant Selection & Contract Administration will provide insight on how to use the Certified LPA Statement of Work Library. Members of the CUG Statement of Work workgroup, including Mark Foster (Marion County), will be on hand to share their experiences and facilitate peer exchanges of strategies and best practices. CUG Consultant Contracting Series: Breakdown of Cost and Billing Tips, ODOT
January 19; 11:00 am - 12:00 pm: virtual MS Teams
The CUG Consultant Selection & Contract Administration training series will continue on January 19, 2023. The January session will provide tips and tricks on billing rates and using the Breakdown of Costs template. Registration for this session in the series is also open now.

Highway Safety Barrier Installation, Inspection, and Maintenance (FAST Act Guardrail Safety), ODOT
December 6, 8am to 5pm & December 7, 8am to 12pm: Salem ODOT Materials Lab (Virtual option also available)
This is a 1.5-day training that provides information necessary for the proper installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of guardrail systems and end treatments (anchors, terminals, and impact attenuators). It is intended for contractors, inspectors and maintenance personnel who do this type of work in Oregon. Register now. Questions? Contact Christopher Henson.

Highway Safety Barrier Designer Training (FAST Act Guardrail Safety), ODOT
December 7, 1pm to 5pm & December 8, 8am to 5pm: Salem ODOT Materials Lab (Virtual option also available)
This second 1.5-day training is for ODOT and local transportation agency personnel, consultants, and others having direct responsibilities for designing barrier installations.
This course addresses the need for barriers; the performance capabilities of standard barriers and end treatments (anchors, terminals, and impact attenuators); and the selection, design, and layout parameters necessary to result in an optimal barrier installation. CUG Annual Meeting, ODOT
December 8; all day: hybrid (Chemeketa Eola Event Center and MS Teams)
Registration is open! The Annual Meeting will be a great opportunity to hear about new federal regulations pertaining to Bridge, updates on project agreements and to share lessons learned delivering federal-aid projects.
We're going to follow the hybrid meeting format we used at the Summer Work Session. The in-person meeting will be happening at the beautiful Chemeketa Eola Event Center. While we hope to see you all in person, we will offer virtual meeting links so you can still get all the critical information presented and ask any burning questions you have.
