Trail construction continues

Construction continues on two segments of trail:

  • Viento State Park to Mitchell Point.
  • Mitchell Point Tunnel.

This fall, we will continue forming the Viento State Park to Mitchell Point segment and travelers can expect around-the-clock lane closures to resume in October.

At the Mitchell Point Tunnel, work will continue outside of the tunnel, including masonry walls, and grading and eventual paving of the trail.

Visitors to the Waterfall Corridor:
share your feedback

The three-month pilot project to require Timed Use Permits for personal vehicles accessing federal lands adjacent to the Waterfall Corridor ended Sept. 5, 2022.

If you visited the Waterfall Corridor while permits were required, ODOT, Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, the U.S. Forest Service and Multnomah County would like to hear from you!

This fall, the agencies will analyze a variety of data to determine if the permits met the goal to provide a safe, more reliable, enjoyable experience for visitors within the corridor.
