ODOT to auction manufactured homes as part of Newberg-Dundee Bypass Project

    

NEWBERG—The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will auction off 12 manufactured homes on Saturday, March 10 at 2 p.m. at the northwest corner of 13th Street and River Street in Newberg.   The oral public auction includes homes that were acquired by ODOT through the right-of-way process for the Newberg-Dundee Bypass Project.

 

Bidders are required to sign in between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on auction day. No minimum bid is required and a refundable deposit of $500 is required for each purchase. Cash or personal check will be accepted at auction for the purchase price and the refundable deposit. All manufactured homes and improvements are sold in an “as is” condition without warranty.

 

The homes for sale are located on S. Meridian, 11th,, 12th and 13th Streets in Newberg. For more information on each of the homes, interested purchasers can visit ODOT’s web site at   www.oregonjta.org/newbergdundee/auction. Also, they can view and inspect the homes at the following open houses: Saturday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (prior to the auction).

 

ODOT has been actively purchasing properties for the Newberg-Dundee Bypass Project’s Phase 1, which links OR99W south of Dundee to OR219 in south Newberg. Phase 1 construction of the Bypass is expected to start in 2014. Most of the project’s funding is provided by the Jobs and Transportation Act (JTA) passed by the Oregon Legislature in 2011.
