The Reports Subcommittee and the Agency Views Subcommittee announce to other APOST subcommittees that we’re ready and waiting for your new report or AV submittals. The request forms are located in the #16 Tool Templates drawer 16. You can find the forms to submit your requests in Doc Express at https://docexpress.com/drawers/78841.
Each of these two subcommittees has a Doc Express drawer: Reports Subcommittee (Drawer 19), Agency Views (Drawer 20). Please submit any completed request forms to the subcommittee’s drawer for them to review and move into production.
If you have any questions about requesting assistance with Report or Agency View submittals, please email ODOT eConstruction.
Shout Out to SUMMER GUTHRIE from the Contract Change Order Subcommittee and Construction Administration Subcommittee: Summer has been so helpful. She is always there to offer her expertise during AP subcommittee meetings. Summer has such wide knowledge of the many jobs in the Contract Administration Unit that she has saved us a lot of time, either giving us answers to our questions or telling us where to find them. When things start stacking up, she gladly helps. She has kept us organized, even during the COVID restrictions.
Shout Out to MIKE LIPPSMEYER from the System Administration Subcommittee: Mike is a consistent source of information and ideas for the System Administration Subcommittee. Even though Mike is very busy in his everyday job with the AP Preconstruction and AP Estimation modules, he is open to taking the time to test ideas from others and make suggestions to help prepare the System Admin team to support ODOT as we prepare to implement AASHTOWare Project for Construction & Materials and Civil Rights and Labor. Thank you, Mike, for always being willing to lend a hand!
The Shout Out is different from the APOST Excellence Award. Anyone is eligible for a shout out. We celebrate when project staff working on APOST goes above and beyond. If you see someone doing something good in AP or on the project, let us know! Send us an email and tell us about it. We want to say thanks!

It's well known that the best resource for feedback is word of mouth. APOST's most valuable resource is you, the project team members, your co-workers, partners, customers, and stakeholders. APOST brings AASHTOWare Project to ODOT for each of you. Your crew meetings are the perfect place to ask the questions:
- Who has heard about AASHTOWare Project coming to ODOT?
- What are you hearing?
- What questions do you have?
Part of the project team's role is to successfully manage the change brought on to the agency, our partners and stakeholders, and individuals impacted by the implementation of AP. Let's get the conversation going! Bring up questions in your crew and team meetings and engage in conversation.
Let us know what comes out of this! As always, we're happy to join your meetings and share what it means for AP CRL and C&M to come to ODOT and who will be impacted. Feel free to reach out to us at the contact information link below.
There’s a lot happening in our many subcommittees: agency views, materials processes, discussions regarding roles and permissions. As we work on our individual areas, it’s easy to lose site of the big picture. The Training, Support and Communications subcommittee is here to help. Share what you're doing with us so we can share it with the rest of the project team! We will make sure that if you need input from other subcommittees, they are aware.
In order to make that happen, we need information! There is a communication form to make that easier for you. Click the link and get started.
There’s a lot of talk about data in AP. I want to make sure I understand the terms we’re using. So, what is the difference between a form and a report? Forms are input to the information system and reports are output from the system. A form gathers information for essentially one record of the database. Reports can represent summary information for many records or can represent data from different records within a system. What is the difference between a field and a record? A field defines the individual elements of a record.
When are the Contractors and Subcontractors going to get involved in AP? Contractors and Subcontractors will be asked to join us during testing. We will have a mix of large, small, metro, and rural to make sure we are getting different viewpoints.
Will Local Agencies be involved? Yes, local agencies, both certified and non-certified, will be in AP. The difference will be in the amount of data and documentation they will input into AP. We have been involved with the decision makers for certified local agency projects and have Transportation Project Managers (TPMs, aka LALs) on our subcommittees, too.
In case you missed it last month:
As decisions are made, an updated schedule will be communicated. To stay up to date, make sure you continue to check out the ODOT APOST webpage and future APOST Times Newsletters.
What are the current timelines for the Civil Rights and Labor and Construction & Materials implementation? Click to view the CRL schedule timeline or the C&M schedule timeline.
Where can I get updated information? To get information on defined reports, agency views, role definitions and access, system events, and more, it is all in one place: Technical Workbook.
For everything project management, such as action items, issue tracking, risks, meeting notes, and more, go to Administrative Workbook.
