Temporary Pedestrian and Bicycle Access Routes During Construction
ODOT is working hard to make sure that bicyclists and pedestrians can travel safely and access businesses along Outer Powell throughout construction. While traveling through the construction zone, you’ll notice marked and barricaded walkways (also called Temporary Pedestrian Access Routes or TPARs), as well as markings for temporary bike paths. Remember to be aware of your surroundings and always follow the designated path for your mode of travel.
Other things to note while walking, riding or rolling through the construction zone:
- When it’s necessary to cross the street, always use marked legal crossings.
- Pedestrian and bike pathways may be next to each other, or physically separated by a staged construction area.
- Always use the path designated for your mode of travel and avoid using other paths.
- There is at least one ADA accessible route to each business or apartment complex in the construction zone.
Thank you for your patience and participation in keeping all travelers safe on Powell!
These safety improvements to SE Powell Boulevard are being completed by the Oregon Department of Transportation. For more information, please check our website or contact us:
