TIM Teams
Our Regional Traffic Incident Management Teams are the backbone of our program. They provide a space for responders from all disciplines in a given area to come together quarterly for discussion and relationship-building, all in the spirit of improving how we work together on our roads to clear incidents safely and quickly. The responders who sit at these tables are TIM champions—they are committed to putting in the time and effort to learn more about their fellow responders, build understanding of other disciplines’ roles, responsibilities and capabilities, and ultimately improve scene coordination, communication and collaboration.
In our minds, there is nothing cooler than responders from Fire, LE, Tow, EMS, Incident Response and other disciplines working together off-scene to improve how they do things together on-scene with the end goal of keeping each other safe and alive.
Our newest team and first to launch in 2019 is the Crook/Jefferson County TIM Team. Thanks to the tremendous effort put forward by Josh Goodell, Prineville’s Rotational Maintenance Coordinator, the Crook/Jefferson County TIM Team has strong local commitment and is off to a promising start. Their first meeting was literally standing room only! Josh was able to engage less responsive partner agencies by participating in local community events, such as the holiday parade during which he featured a “Move Over”-decorated snow plow. This kind of gesture is simple yet powerful: it cues the community that responder safety is important and something to commit to. Kudos Josh, expertly done!

With seven TIM teams across the state and more launching this year, there’s no shortage of opportunities to be a game-changer in responder safety in your area.
